NEET-ug is an Entrance Test or Test for those who want to study undergraduate medical courses (Mbbs) and dental courses (Bds) in any government or private medical colleges and dental colleges in India respectively. This entrance exam is conducted by the CBSE Board.

NEET Examination Age Limit
Minimum Age: The minimum age limit of a candidate to sit in this exam should be 17 years on or before 31 December of the year of admission.
Maximum Age: The maximum age limit of a candidate should be 25 years (for general candidates) and 30 years (for OBC / SC / ST categories) by the date of examination.

Some Changes In NEET
Some of the following changes have been made in the examination of Neet for the year 2018: –
- On the proposal of the Union Ministry of Health, Mci approved the elimination of the attempt limit of examination from 2018. Now, general category candidates can attempt the NEET exam 9 times, while candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category can attempt the exam 14 times.
- According to the latest news, the Supreme Court has passed an order that the examination will be bilingual.
- There will be a set for ‘question papers in all languages.

Ans. General category: A cutoff of 600 has been done in 2020 i.e. students of the General category can get admission in a government college by bringing 600+ marks.
